Before they walked down the aisle I remember Jose stating that he wants to be a father right away; he wasn’t lying. They called it, “Maui grown” and two weeks after they came back from their honeymoon, Jose and Hazel announced that they had a bun in the oven! What a beautiful gift they gave each other. Jose is such an excited father-to-be and Hazel a gorgeous, glowing mother. I’ve known Hazel since Jr. High school and to watch her become a mother tugs at my heartstrings. It was an adjustment for Hazel and I because she is one of my dearest friends- we did pretty much everything together and to see her go through this transition had reminded me that life is constantly changing in beautiful ways. There is going to be one more wonderful person in this world that will touch many people’s hearts with their kindness just as their parents.
Jose told me the other day, “I’m going to love my kid so much.” I smiled with warmth in my heart.
Hazel and Jose, thank you for allowing me to be the first to officially document you guys as a family. I had so much fun getting creative with you two. The excitement and effort you put into the shoot shows so much in how you will be when Zachary arrives. I’m so excited for you both. Zachary is going to be loved like crazy.
Love you guys!
Look, feel, remember…
